XHDP series VLFhipot tester replaces the power frequency withstand voltage test with a 0.1Hz ultra-low frequency withstand voltage test. It combines the advanced technology of modern digital frequency conversion and adopts microcomputer control to realize full automation of voltage boost, voltage reduction, measurement and protection. It is small in size and light in weight. Its large-screen LCD displays the output waveform, which is clear and intuitive. It can also print test reports. It can be widely used in AC withstand voltage tests of cables and large high-voltage rotating motors.
Testing principle
When conducting power frequency withstand voltage tests on samples such as large generators and cables, a large-capacity test transformer or resonant transformer needs to be used because the insulation layer exhibits a large capacitance. In order to solve this problem, the power department reduced the test frequency, thereby reducing the capacity of the test power supply. Years of theory and practice at home and abroad have proven that using the 0.1Hz ultra-low frequency withstand voltage test instead of the power frequency withstand voltage test not only has the same equivalence, but also can greatly reduce the size and weight and is simple to operate.
1. The sampling data of the VLF hipot tester is accurate, because the current, voltage, and waveform data are directly sampled from the high-voltage side.
2. The ultra-low frequency with rated voltage less than or equal to 50kV adopts a single-connected structure (one booster); the ultra-low frequency greater than 50kV adopts a series structure (two boosters are connected in series), which greatly reduces the overall weight and enhances the load capacity. , and the two boosters can be used separately for ultra-low frequency use at low voltage levels.
3. It has the function of overvoltage and overcurrent protection. It is designed for high and low voltage dual protection. The high voltage side can perform precise shutdown protection according to the set value; when the current on the low voltage side exceeds the rated current, it will perform shutdown protection, and the action time is less than 20ms.
4. The high-voltage output protection resistor is designed in the booster body, so there is no need to connect another protection resistor outside.
5. Since the high and low voltage closed-loop negative feedback control circuit is used, the output has no capacity rise effect.
