High voltage surge generator XHHV535-2TS/XHHV535-4TS
Surge voltage generators enable accurate location of high resistance, low resistance and intermittent faults on high, medium and low voltage cables.
Output voltage is continuously adjustable in the ranges 0 - 8 kV, 0 - 16 kV and 0 - 32 kV.
Discharging of high voltage capacitors into the faulty cable can be made continuously or cyclically via surge switch. When the instrument is switched off, the connected cables and the internal surge capacitors are automatically discharged separately from each other.

Panel function description
1. Ammeter: Show the current of low voltage side
2. Voltmeter:High-voltage output voltage indication kV meter, divided into 8kV, 16kV, 32kV combined with voltage level switch readings.
3. High-voltage light(HV):On means there is high voltage output, and off means there is no high voltage output.
4.Power:After turning on the power switch, the indicator light is on, indicating that the AC220V is normal.
5. Zero light(Zero):Indicates that the pressure regulating knob is in the zero state, and the start key is effective only when it is on.
6. Overcurrent protection:Connect the device and the cable fault tester with the double Q wire to collect the flashover waveform, which is valid only for high-voltage flashover.
7. Power switch(NO/OFF): AC 220V 50Hz power input socket. Fuse holder and main power switch of device. 8A Fuse.
8. Single:The indicator will light when choose single discharge.
9. Mode selete: DC,Single,Cycle. DC model is to start withstand voltage test( hipot test) to cable. Single model is discharge by hand controlling. Press it and then adjust High voltage knob to control discharge time by hand.
Cyclic model is discharged automatically which means select this function to rise up voltage after start high voltage ,this device will be automatic trigger impulse discharge, time is about 5 seconds.
10. Start:In the zero position, press the start button, and the high voltage starts at this time, and the high voltage light is on. In the non-zero state, the high-voltage lamp does not light up when starting.
11.Voltage control:When this knob is in the zero position, the zero position light is on, and the high voltage can be started. After the high pressure is started, the pressure can be increased through the pressure regulating knob.
12. Stop: When the test is completed or an abnormality occurs, press this key to cut off the high voltage output. At this time, the remaining high voltage in the test stop will also be automatically discharged.
13. Voltage select: This key has three voltage level modes, 8kV, 16kV, and 32kV. Please rotate it to a suitable position before turning on the machine. Lift, rotate, press.
