XHGG502 ARC cable fault locator is controlled by a built-in industrial grade computer with a Windows system, 12.1 inch TFT color display screen, and protective storage box design. The instrument is moisture proof and dust proof casing. When the machine is under high voltage current method, it can generate two groups of pulse waveform which are eight pulses waveform of fault detecting and eight pulse waveform of total cable length detecting. We can get the sixteen measuring pulse waveform. So the operator can analyze the waveform easily. The operator can select a good waveform from eight wave forms to analyze. Multiple pulse method let a complicated high voltage flashover waveform to become a simple waveform like a short circuit fault waveform and more waveforms to analyze.
XHGG502 ARC cable fault locator is easy to operate. The operator who is not experienced and professional can easily analyze and determine the cable fault point also, which improves test efficiency of cable fault locating and found the cable fault point successfully. It can help the customer to save the cost and the time.

Cable fault pre-location: with the reflectometer XHGG502 based on the low-voltage impulse reflection method(TDR), and high-voltage decay(flashover) method (DECAY), arc reflection method(single-shot/ multi-shot).
There are three test mode of XHGG502, low voltage pulse, high voltage flashover, ARC multi-shot.

The below picture shows cable length or cable open circuit fault distance measured by using low voltage pulse test mode of XHGG502. When using the low voltage pulse method, it is not necessary to connect the high voltage pulse generator. Other test methods must be used in conjunction with a high-voltage pulse generator.
