Introduction

XHXC105 power transformer degaussing instrument is to eliminate hazards of the residual magnetism after the DC resistance test of large power transformers. It can protect power transformer from inrush current impact, as well as has an extremely important role in safety commissioning. Due to the inherent hysteresis of the ferromagnetic materials, after the transformer voltage ratio, DC resistance measurement will be residual magnetism in the core. Due to the presence of residual magnetism the transformer put into operation the transformer core would be a half saturation, resulting in a large number of harmonics in the excitation current, which not only increases the reactive power consumption of the transformer, and may cause malfunction of the relay and economic losses. Therefore, we must do the degaussing work to ensure safe running before the transformer put into operation. Second-generation of XHXC105 power transformer degaussing instrument added the automatic degaussing mode based on the first generation of products, the user does not have to repeat the operation. Increase from the demagnetization time from the original 30 minutes to less than four minutes.
