Product Description

The XHDD503C+ uses a combination of vibration pickup and electromagnetic induction to determine the precise location of cable faults. A high-voltage pulse generator induces flashover discharge at the fault point. The resulting vibration, sound, and electromagnetic waves are collected by a dedicated probe on the fault locator. The main unit intelligently processes and displays the fault waveform and outputs a fault sound, allowing the tester to determine the exact location of the fault through hearing and sight. This achieves precise location of the cable fault "directly above the cable, within a roughly measured range."
 

It is suitable for low-resistance, short-circuit, open-circuit, and broken-circuit faults in various power cables, coaxial cables, and low-voltage cables of different voltage levels, cross-sections, and media, as well as leakage and flashover-induced high-resistance faults.
