XZH TEST cable fault location system is designed for 35kV and below underground cable fault detection.
★Cable fault pre-location: with the reflectometer XHGG502 based on the low-voltage impulse reflection method(TDR), ICE(impulse current test method), multiple impulse(ARC-multi-short)arc reflection method.
★cable path tracing, buried depth detection and live and unlive cable identification: XHGX507 multi-functional cable pipe locator is an all-digital locator with clear display and reliable positioning. Graphical operation instructions and sound indication, making it the easiest-to-use pipe locator available today. Powered by rechargeable battery, it can also display cable depth and current.
★Cable fault pinpoint location: XHDD503D uses acoustic-magnetic synchronization method, digital display waveforms of sound and magnetic, judge cable fault point by time difference and earphone, make detection more easier.
Equipped with a receiver(optional), the 503D can use the step voltage method to realize the sheath fault locating.
The portable cable fault location system is configured with the removable ARC cable fault locator with ultra-high brightness, large LCD screen 12.1" display with touch control, making the process of fault pre-location quick, easy and efficient.
High voltage 2048 J surge generator is accompanied by a surge levels switch which allows to achieve the maximum surge impulse energy at 8, 16 and 32 kV.
It has features operator safety assurance systems and provides a reliable and comprehensive technical solution for low- and medium-voltage cables faults.

Main technical parameters
There are three test mode of XHGG502, low voltage pulse, high voltage flashover, ARC multi-shot.

The below picture shows cable length or cable open circuit fault distance measured by using low voltage pulse test mode of XHGG502. When using the low voltage pulse method, it is not necessary to connect the high voltage pulse generator. Other test methods must be used in conjunction with a high-voltage pulse generator.
