The XHHG521B cable sheath fault pre locator is designed based on the principle of MURRAY bridge, which can be used for the location of the breakdown point of various wires and cables and the defect point with no breakdown but low insulation resistance value.
The equipment uses an electric voltage regulator and an R-type transformer to form a high-voltage constant current source, and the button operation is used to increase and decrease the voltage. The no-load voltage is 5000V, and the short-circuit current is 100mA. A high-sensitivity amplifier and a galvanometer are used to indicate balance, and a balance bridge is formed with a proportional potentiometer, which is placed at a high potential as a whole.
The measuring cable is a specially designed double-core high-voltage rubber cable, and the four-terminal resistance measurement method is used to avoid the error introduced by the lead resistance.
The operating knob on the panel operates the internal high voltage through an insulating rod. The panel as a whole is at low potential.
The equipment is also equipped with a 12806 display screen, one-button operation, the input cable length can be automatically calculated, and the fault distance can be calculated.
The high voltage source and bridge are integrated in a portable protective case. Therefore, the device has high voltage, light weight, convenient operation and safe use.
Compared with the wave reflection method, the bridge balance method has no dead zone and is especially suitable for judging the breakdown point of short cables and near the end.
