Consist with a cable fault pre-locator(XHGG501D), a cable fault pinpointer(XHDD503B), a max impact voltage 10kV high voltage surge generator(XHHV510-10L) and a step voltage test method comprehensive tester XHGX507 that can also be used to detect cable path and buried depth, also it can be used as a cable identifier.
 

★Cable fault pre-location: with the reflectometer XHGG501D based on the low-voltage impulse reflection method(TDR), high voltage flashover method(ICE-impulse current test method).

 

★Cable fault pinpoint location: XHDD503B uses acoustic-magnetic synchronization method, digital display waveforms of sound and magnetic, judge cable fault point by time difference and earphone, make detection more easier.

1. Purpose
XHDD503B acousto-magnetic synchronous fixed-point instrument, used with high-voltage signal generator, is a portable and intelligent power cable fault precise positioning equipment, which integrates acousto-magnetic time-of-flight positioning technology, noise reduction technology, path auxiliary test and other technologies in one, providing multiple Various test modes and rich and varied prompt information, efficient, accurate and pleasant completion of cable fault location, is an essential tool for emergency repair of power cable faults.

2. Features
(1)Acousto-magnetic synchronous positioning technology is adopted to automatically calculate the acousto-magnetic time difference, reducing the dependence on sound monitoring.

4. Operation and Function Introduction
The fixed-point methods of the instrument include acousto-magnetic mode and acoustic measurement mode.
(1) Acousto-magnetic mode: The instrument automatically draws the waveforms of sound and magnetic field signals, and automatically calculates the time difference of the acousto-magnetic signals, which is convenient and quick.

(2) Acoustic measurement mode: the user only completes the precise determination by monitoring the volume of the sound for comparison.
The operation mode of the instrument is divided into touch screen operation and one-key operation.
a. Touch screen operation, click the corresponding icon, the device displays the adjustment interface, and complete the parameter setting by dragging the slider or clicking the "+" and "-" icons.
b. One-button operation, turn the adjustment button after turning on the machine, the icon changes to indicate the selected situation, press the adjustment button to enter the adjustment interface, and rotate the adjustment button to set the adjustment parameters.

1. Safety ground: The ground of the instrument shell must be reliably connected to the ground in order to prevent the instrument shell from being electrified or electric shock to personnel.
2. High-voltage ground: Also known as high-voltage tail, it must be grounded reliably to prevent high-voltage leakage and discharge. Poor contact may cause failure to boost the voltage, high voltage breakdown of the internal components of the instrument, and safety accidents caused by leakage or discharge inside the instrument.
3. Sampling ground: The negative terminal of the pulse energy storage capacitor has a high voltage and must be grounded reliably. It is used for sampling when the waveform is sampled under the high-voltage flashover state of the cable fault tester. (Without high-voltage flashover sampling, reliable grounding is still required).
4. Discharge button: Press this button to make contact with the ball gap, and discharge manually. (The duration of each key press cannot exceed 1s).
5. High voltage start button: When the start button light is on, it means that the voltage output is in the zero position. When the light is on, the start button is valid. If the start button light is not on after turning on the power switch, turn the voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise until the light is on. When the button light is on, press this button to start the device and generate high voltage output.
6. High-voltage stop button: When the test is completed or an abnormality occurs, press this button to cut off the high-voltage output, the high-voltage light goes out, and the internal discharge ball stops working. When the stop key is on, it means there is high voltage output, and when it is off, it means there is no high voltage output.
7. Over-current protection switch: When pressed, it means that the over-current protection function has started; when it is popped up, it means that the instrument has triggered the over-current protection.
8. Voltage adjustment: After turning on the device, you must first turn the knob counterclockwise to the end, press the start button, and then adjust clockwise to increase the output high voltage from small to large, and adjust counterclockwise to reduce the output high voltage from large to small.
9. Power switch: "I gear" turns on the AC 220V power supply switch, and "0 gear" turns off the system power.

XHGX507 underground cable pipe locator is mainly used for cable fault location, cable identification, cable path and depth measurement. It can complete tasks that could only be accomplished by a few sets of instruments in the past.

Working principle
The underground cable pipe locator is designed based on the electromagnetic induction method and the application of the communication principle.

1.The electromagnetic signal is generated by the transmitter, and the signal is transmitted to the underground cable under test through different transmission connection methods.

2.After the underground cable induces the electromagnetic signal, an induced current is generated on the cable, and the induced current propagates along the cable to the distance.

3.In the process of current propagation, electromagnetic waves are radiated to the ground through the underground cable. When the receiver detects on the ground, the electromagnetic wave signal will be received on the ground above the cable.

4.The position, direction and fault of the underground cable can be judged by the change of the received signal strength.
