XZH TEST  Vehicle-mounted high-voltage pulse generator is designed for 36kV and below underground cable fault detection. 

 

High voltage 2550 J surge generator is accompanied by a surge levels switch which allows to achieve the maximum surge impulse energy at 36kV.

 

It has features operator safety assurance systems and provides a reliable and comprehensive technical solution for low- and medium-voltage cables faults.

The high-voltage pulse generator fully complies with DL/T846-2016 "General Technical Conditions for High Voltage Test Equipment" and DL/T474-2017 "Guidelines for the Implementation of Field Insulation Tests". It is mainly used for impact discharge and withstand voltage tests in low and high voltage cable fault tests.

The composition of the instrument
1. High-voltage pulse generator host: apply high-voltage, high-energy pulse signals to the cable under test;
2. High-voltage output line: connect the high-voltage output end of the host and the cable core under test;
3. Ground wire: high voltage ground, safety ground, sampling ground and discharge rod ground wire;
4. Short wiring: When using the multiple pulse method, the high-voltage flashover output terminal is short-circuited with the multiple pulse input terminal;
5. Power cord: instrument working power cord;
6. Sampler: In the high-voltage flashover method, it receives the signal reflected from the high-voltage signal to the sampling ground;
7. Discharge rod: DC current-limiting discharge or DC short-circuit discharge at the end of the cable under test;
8. Fuse: AC220V power supply system backup fuse.

Panel function description
1. Ammeter: Indicates the magnitude of the current on the low-voltage side.
2. Voltmeter: High voltage output voltage indicating kV meter.
3. High voltage lamp (HV): On means there is high voltage output, off means there is no high voltage output.
4. Power light (Power): After turning on the power switch, the light will be on.
5. Zero light (Zero): Indicates that the pressure regulating knob is in the zero state, and the high pressure can only be started when the zero light is on.
6. Time setting: set the discharge time interval.
7. Power socket (AC220V): instrument working power supply, AC220V connection port;
8. Fuse socket: where the fuse of the AC220V power supply system is installed;
9. Power switch (NO/OFF): "Gear 1" uses AC220V power supply to start the machine, and "Gear 0" turns it off.
10. Single discharge (Single Discharge): When the mode selection key is in single (Single) function, this key is valid.
11. Mode select: It is divided into three modes: withstand voltage (DC), single (Single), and cycle (Cycle). DC is the withstand voltage function. When this function is selected, the cable will be tested for withstand voltage at this time; Single is the manual function. When this function is selected, the voltage will be boosted after the high voltage is started. Press the Single button to manually trigger the impact discharge; Cycle is an automatic function. When this function is selected, the high voltage is started to boost the voltage, and the instrument will automatically trigger the impact discharge for about 5 seconds.
12. Start button (Start): In the zero position state, press the start button, and the high voltage starts at this time, and the high voltage light is on. In the non-zero state, the start high pressure light is off.
13. Stop button (Stop): When the test is completed or an abnormality occurs, press this button to cut off the high voltage output, and at this time, the remaining high voltage of the test will be automatically discharged.
14. Voltage control knob (Voltage control): When this knob is in the zero position, the zero position light is on, and the high voltage can be started. After the high voltage is started, the pressure can be boosted through the pressure regulating knob.

1. Safety ground (Safety GND): The ground wire must be used when working to ensure the safe use of the equipment.
2. High voltage ground (HV GND): It must be connected to the root of the ground wire of the cable to ensure good grounding.
3. Sampling ground (Sampling GND): Connect to the root of the ground wire of the cable under test. It can be connected to the root of the cable together with the high-voltage ground. It is used for waveform sampling under flashover conditions. It must be well grounded when in use.
4. Signal ground (Signal GND): When using the multi-pulse method, it needs to be connected (the ground wire of the multi-pulse coupler).
5. High-voltage flashover output (HV Flash OUT): dedicated DC high-voltage output terminal.
6. Multiple Pulse (Multiple Pulse): (Input Input Output Output): When using the multiple pulse method, the high-voltage flashover output terminal and the multiple pulse input terminal are short-circuited with a high-voltage wire (as shown in the figure above), and the high-voltage output wire is connected to the On the multi-pulse output terminal.
7. High-voltage flashover signal (HV Flash Signal): Use double Q lines to connect the machine and the cable fault tester to collect waveforms for flashover, which is only valid during high-voltage flashover.
8. Multiple Pulse Signal: Use double Q lines to connect the machine and the cable fault tester for flashover acquisition of waveforms, only valid for multiple pulses.
