XHHG520 Integrated cable outer sheath fault tester i designed based on the MURRAY bridge principle. It can be used to locate the breakdown points of various wires and cables and the defect points with low insulation resistance but no breakdown.
The equipment uses an electric voltage regulator and an R-type transformer to form a high-voltage constant current source, and the voltage can be increased or decreased by key operation. The no-load voltage is 15kV, the short-circuit current is 100mA, and a high-sensitivity amplifier and a galvanometer are used to indicate the balance. A balanced bridge is formed with a proportional potentiometer, and the whole is placed at a high potential. The measuring cable is a specially designed double-core high-voltage rubber cable, and the four-terminal resistance measurement method is used to avoid the error introduced by the lead resistance.
It can quickly and accurately find hidden dangers such as grounding faults and excessive leakage current of the outer sheath of 10kV-500kV single-core and three-core high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cables.
At the same time, it can perform 5kV-15kV, 1-minute DC withstand voltage test on the outer sheath of high-density polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride cables. It is an essential special instrument for cable equipment maintenance of 10kv-500kV single-core and three-core high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cable operating units, extra-high-voltage cable engineering companies, and various power transmission and transformation engineering companies.

The integrated cable outer sheath fault location system is particularly suitable for
1. High-resistance breakdown points of cables after laying, especially linear high-resistance breakdown points that are difficult to burn into low resistance, such as linear high-resistance breakdown of cable intermediate joints.
2. Flashover type breakdown points, after breakdown, the constant current source can maintain the arc, a stable current passes through the bridge, and the bridge has sufficient sensitivity.
3. Defect points that have not yet broken down but have low resistance, such as using a megohmmeter to find that the cable resistance is low, but the insulation defect point does not break down under the operating voltage.
